We are now offering a small prize each month to the photographer of the picture that specially catches our eye - it doesn't have to be a technically great picture, (although it could!), but perhaps show some interesting behaviour. The prize will be awarded entirely at our discetion, and will vary. Potential sponsors, please contact us here!. This month, the prize (The Birdwatcher's Companion), is awarded to Louis Joyce for his picture of a Lesser Black-backed Gull with fish

It was taken at the weir on the river Exe in Exeter. He waits there all day on his own, then pounces on fish as they jump up the weir.
