 Eye Brook Reservoir - Corby Water Co

Reservoir with marshy areas.
Location: SP853964 - W of A6003 at Stoke Dry
Admission: Viewing from public roads. Members of L&ROS have access to to private areas.
Features: Passage waders and Black Tern. Winter wildfowl can include Bewick's Swan, Goosander and Goldeneye.

 Rutland Water - Leics & Rutland TNC
Large reservoir with marshes, woodland and farmland edges.
Location: Near Oakham. Two reserve areas, Egleton and Lyndon
Road: W of A1, A6003 S of Oakham and well signed.
Facilities: 20 hides, some with disabled access. Visitor centre, shops, toilets, refresfments.
Features: Always good birdwatching, with passage waders and terns, large numbers of winter wildfowl, and wide variety of breeding birds. An Osprey (illustrated) introduction scheme is taking place here. Also the site of the annual British Birdwatching Fair in August.
